Rogers E20aii/phono integrated amp tube
Rogers integrated amplifier valve Class A 18W
Meet the E20a/ii. The first in a new series of valve amplifiers from Rogers.
Originally conceived in 1995, the original Rogers E20a’s raison d’etre was to drive the Rogers LS3/5a loudspeakers to the highest possible sound quality, perfectly blending the “than” modern digital era with
the pure sonics of Class A and valve technology.
Fast forward to 2020 and Rogers have extensively revised the original E20a into the new E20a/ii to perfectly complement the new “Reborn” LS3/5a Classic and LS5/9 Classic loudspeakers.
Based on the existing circuit and Push-Pull 6L6 output valves, the new E20a/ii has an updated circuit design and still operates in pure class A to provide a vivid, dynamic and wholly musical performance.

“Rogers… the august brand name which invariably conjures the infallible LS3/5a, that BBC-commissioned little over-performing icon, that endearing beacon of small 2-way loudspeaker design. Less famed is the company’s release in the mid-1990s of the E20a, a bespoke valve amplifier targeted to wring the very best from the LS3/5a and, indeed, the company’s then growing stable of loudspeaker offerings. With the new E20a/ii, Rogers modernises the original concept while preserving the vacuum tube design that made its speakers truly sing. So now, going on 30 years later and in a far more expansive audio landscape, will the new iteration become a universal loudspeaker-driving companion?”

“The control options are bare-boned. A simple set of twin knobs allotted to volume control and input selection flanking the circular infrared receiver window mentioned above are the only functional components in the chiselled and 18mm thick anodised front panel.”
