Purchase Example: 2.5m stereo pair would contain 5 single metres (2.5m to each channel). This also allows you to order uneven lengths e.g. 2m left channel/3m right channel. So, 2.5m pair = 5 single metres x 578 AUD which is a total of 2890 AUD.
Ultra Black II
Even taking into account all the awards that the old Ultra Black speaker cable won, this new version gives a whole new level of performance that is obvious from the first second of listening. Greater detail, more clarity, more organic but still sitting very firmly in the Black cable family.
The first few people to have heard the new cable were surprised, to say the least.
Old Ultra Black
“Tellurium Q Ultra Black is the cable we wanted to make from day one. We told our UK distributor what to expect as we handed them a prototype that looked more like a fireman’s hose and less like a sonic phenomenon. They glanced at the heavy, stiff and it has to be said ugly brown experiment. “Yes, well we will give it a go and take it to a few dealers to see what they think”. Later that day we get a phone call from our disbelieving UK distributors at Kog Audio, “what the hell is in it? We’ve never heard anything like this!”.
They took it on trust that the production version would be incredibly thin and flexible by comparison and look a whole lot better. So Kog Audio put in an advance order that day without needing to see or hear the production model because, in their words, “if it is even quarter as good as the prototype it will blow people away”.
We think that the production version sounds better than the prototype.
At first glance, you could be forgiven for thinking that the Blue Diamond and Ultra Black were the same cables with different printing but when you plug the Ultra Black into your system there is absolutely no doubt that the Ultra Black is in a totally different league
|Why No Tech Specs?||Because the cables have been designed from scratch with a different starting point (we believe) the numbers won't help understand what they may sound like. You actually have to listen to them in a system you are familiar with to really get what they do. The difference is not in any way a minor change.|
|Why should we hand over all the hard work in R&D to our competitors?|
|Tellurium Q cables do not function like any cable people have heard so even if we did publish the technical specifications people would only be able to calibrate the information to what they have encountered already and then erroneously pigeon hole Tellurium Q.|
|We are not claiming to have found the holy grail in cables we are just saying that we are focusing on the problem of the distortion of relative phase frequencies and in doing so have (we feel) produced and are producing some outstanding products which represent excellent value for their performance.|
|I guess that we are unusual in that we really do want people to listen to our cable against similarly priced products because we know that people will mostly choose Tellurium Q once they have swiched rapidly between products a few times and appreciate what the lack of distortion of relative phase relationships really means for their system.|
|Geoff Merrigan Director , Tellurium Q||I hope that you enjoy the performance of your system when you try out our cables.|
